BOOM! Comics releases a fantasy world where animals are traveling around hunting treasures in Ruinworld on its first issue.

Before there was Indiana Jones, then there’s Klonoa from Namco, and now there are treasure hunters fighting against monsters. It’s very random to think about it, but somehow every artist that I know focuses on drawing some furries for character designs and stories. Ruinworld is more than any other furry fantasy genre that I get to see. Other than that, this comic is actually fun to read for all ages. The author, Derek Laufman is the same creator who made Adventure Time on Cartoon Network, and also the variant cover, Sean Galloway is also the one who made, the piece of turd, Teen Titans Go. But for that, this comic is mostly would belong to some popular webcomics around.

So, the story begins with two travelers who are on a treasure hunt, where our friends Pogo and Rex are on an adventure for fame and fortune. But that’s not really the case, the journey that they’re on to, they faced some dangerous obstacles and enemies around there. But obviously, this comic is like you’re reading some Looney Tunes comics, well sort of. They come across some abandoned tower just to get a treasure which is a relic. But fortunately, they discovered a map which somehow would turn out to be a cursed island. I don’t know if the map is too important to them, but Pogo just left it unguarded. But you might wonder what lies on that mysterious skull island? Do we have to see King Kong or something like the Bermuda Triangle that I heard about?

Somehow, the comic is actually gives you a fun way to read, regarding from what you watched one of the series of Adventure Time or the classic Thundercats or Ducktales. The author might have a point to create a story that is actually a fun world where two adventurers are seeking fame and fortune. Supposedly, Ruinworld is a comic that is filled with fun and comedy throughout the story, and I find it cuter than anyone ever created.

The art is more in depth, but it’s not just that’s it’s cute at all, the point is that the art has more to do with the characters and the details, but his art is not really like he drew Adventure Time at all, the show is like you’re thinking about stick figures and shapes that would represent any motion to the characters, but this is mostly like you’re drawing from a furry doll figure and by studying anatomy with it. It’s almost like you’re playing Super Smash Bros. as Ness or Lucas or The Villager, but then when you pause the game, you’ll see the characters going with their action poses to confirm any movement before you can draw the figure of it and turn into furries. Well, I got to say, the comic is so much fun to read, and I wish I want to know what comes next. I would recommend to anyone to get this book in your possession, and you won’t disappoint.
