DC Comics brings us the new issue of Pearl.

Issue 7 takes us further into the world of gangsters and tattoos and Pearl, who literally embodies both. It’s a new story arc, with the same raft of lost and lovely characters. And some new ones.

Pearl, whose body conceals a gossamer-thin surface tattoo, is heading to Tokyo, to find out more about her past. Is she running to, or running from danger? Hint: the FBI is on her trail!

Brian Michael Bendis on words and Michael Gaydos on art combine to bring us breathtaking vistas, portraits and pearls of wisdom wrapped up in this comic. Pearl, modeled by Exotik Alek, is a feast for the eyes.

DC Comics, Pearl #7, $3.99 for 23 pages of content. Assume Teen +

About Alan Spinney

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
