We’re on a historical journey when we pick up Batman, Curse of the White Knight #2, from DC.

This issue, written and illustrated by Sean Murphy, (Matt Hollingsworth on colours), goes back to the days of Edmond Wayne, then swings ahead to present day.

And what an issue: briefly, it’s well written, with tight little scenes of discomfort and joy. Ploys, and surprises from the Joker man. Swashbuckling fun, so run, don’t doddle, down to your local comic book shop and lay your schooner alongside this one.

For us fans of Sean Murphy’s art, there are several preview pages from issue 3 included in the issue. In unadorned, awesome black and white.

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
