I love these issues, the issues where nothing happens but everything happens.

Bat and Cat are back sharing the page and its almost as if she didn’t break his heart and leave him stranded on a rooftop. But she did. So it’s a little awkward. I love how these two interact especially when they are trying to both begin and avoid a conversation. The stunted starts while they stare at each other silently saying the things they need to and both understanding. It feels like Batman is healing in more ways than one.

As emotionally tense the issue is it still has humorous elements, my favourite being the barman’s reaction to the couple on the beach and of course, the room name booking calls back. The pair slip straight back into their competitive ways as they one-up each other to who caught who and why they were the one to orchestrated the meeting.

Hopefully, this is exactly what Batman needs to be ready to retake Gotham as it will take everything he has to defeat Bane, but with Catwoman back at his side who knows what could happen
