Livewire, the Valiant title about the psiots, is at issue #10.

To date, Livewire has had her battles. Now, in issue #10, she is getting political. She’s debating live, on television. Debating, and baiting her hooks, bating her breath. Holding fast against her political opponent, a senator who is fomenting and promoting hatred against psiots, the enhanced beings. Livewire is seeking alliance from some people, but can they be trusted?

Vita Ayala returns to continue the saga, with Tana Ford on art. Kelly Fitzpatrick is on colours.

It’s a good read, surprisingly aware and sophisticated. Tana Ford is competent on art, using a slightly more cartoony approach than predecessor Kano.

Valiant, Livewire #10, $3.99 for 20 pages of content. Assume Teen +

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
