Portland, OR convention is Sep. 13-15

Hero Initiative, the non-profit organization that helps comic book creators in need, is heading to Rose City Comic Conin Portland, Oregon from September 13-15.

Hero will have two EXCLUSIVE guests, artists Liam Sharp(Wonder Woman) and Ryan Sook(Legion of Super-Heroes)! They will be signing and sketching at the Hero booth all weekend to raise money for the cause. Make sure you don’t miss out!

And while you’re at it, pick up your copy of Hero’s yearly limited edition of The Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide #49. This catch-all of crucial comics info is limited to 500 copies in hardcover only at $35, so make sure you grab one while supplies last. Copies are moving PARTICULARLY fast this year!

And Hero Initiative Ambassadors across the con floor will also be raising money for Hero with tip jars when you get your books signed. Please drop by on our friends Kelly Sue DeConnick, Cully Hamner, Jody Houser, Matt Fraction, Steve Orlando, and Chris Roberson.

The Hero Initiative is the first-ever federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need. Hero creates a financial safety net for yesterday’s creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work. It’s a chance for all of us to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment.

Since its inception, The Hero Initiative has had the good fortune to grant over $1 million to the comic book veterans who have paved the way for those in the industry today. For more information, visit www.heroinitiative.org or call 626-676-6354.
