Fans of all ages are invited take part in Batman-themed events each Saturday in the month of September, while shopping limited-edition anniversary merchandise

WHAT: Warner Bros. Consumer Products, in partnership with the world-famous FAO Schwarz, continue the yearlong celebration of the 80th anniversary of Batman in New York (Gotham City). Fans of all ages are invited to shop limited-edition toys and collectibles at the iconic toy store, as well as take part in super-charged fan and family Saturdays, featuring a lineup of interactive experiences from an appearance by legendary comic book writer and artist , Frank Miller, and photo moment with the world’s #1 superhero, to product giveaways and the reveal of DC Collectible’s Batman Black & White #101.

 

Highlights and Experiences Include:

  • Saturday, Sept. 7

Families are invited to dress as Batman and shop limited edition 80th anniversary merchandise available at FAO Schwarz. All costumed crusaders will receive a celebratory giveaway.

  • Saturday, Sept. 14:

Super fans can get a first look at the brand-new Batman Black & White statue ahead of New York Comic Con, presented by Jim Fletcher, the executive director of DC Collectibles. Following, author Frank Miller, author of The Dark Knight Returns, will be available for autographs. 

  • Saturday, Sept. 21

The global celebration of Batman Day kicks off with a photo moment with the world’s most popular superhero himself.

  • Saturday, Sept. 28

The youngest comic fans can buy and build their own Lego Batmobile and take it home, rounding out the month-long celebration at the world’s most popular toy store.
