“It’s difficult but when it all comes together it’s marvelous.”

Strange Attractors

No words that I could form myself could so perfectly sum up Strange Attractors by Charles Soule. This line from the book itself captures the very essence of the story in a moment of self awareness. What opens as a complicated story beautifully comes together in the end to form an intricate love letter to the city of New Your. Strange Attractors opens with an abundance of information that can be a little overwhelming. The reader may find themselves asking more and more questions with each page, almost like the first episode of LOST or Game of Thrones. In the end we are left with a stunning look at how one person truly can make a difference. Not only will the book change the way the readers’ view of society as a whole, but it will also open our eyes to the small intricacies that surround us.

The art appears, at first, to be somewhat inconsistant, changing ever so slightly. Like much of the book, however, each panel becomes part of a larger plan that is revealed later on. It is for this reason that I believe Strange Attractors will be even better on the second read.

If you are interested in intelligent thrillers about life, art, and magical numbers, Strange Attractors is a must read!
