With all the news about the Turtles cartoon and related toy line coming out of SDCC it is easy to get excited about the heroes in a half shell. Let’s not forget that they have an awesome comic book going on right now too! TMTN #24 is a continuation of the City Fall story arch that has all of the different Ninja’s in a gang war that has so far almost claimed Casey Jones. As Casey Recovers, the Turtles team with their one time enemies, Old Hob and Slash. When they are stuck in a tough situation and face to face with Shredder, the Turtles realize that their brother and leader, Leonardo, has been brainwashed and joined the Foot!
The script and plot are consistently solid as Eastman and Waltz continue their partnership and the art is extraordinary! This story arch has me pumped and I hope this team stays together for a long time. Over all the book is full of surprises and nods to other Turtles stories and cartoons. 4 out of 4 shells! COWABONGA!
