Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman not only found a portal to the past, but somehow have stumbled through it leaving John and Lois to the farm with growing situation on their hands.
Unsure as to why the have ended up in the past, Superman is overwhelmed with the joy of seeing Jonathan Kent alive and well, for the moment. The shock of seeing the Sigil of the house of El, the superman shield we know and love, and two even stranger sights in a fully uniformed Batman and Wonder Woman by his side, gives Jonathan a heat attack. As a young Clark Kent, unsure of his powers but no longer able to hear his father’s heartbeat, struggles with the supposed loss of his father by fleeing the farm, our heroes are left wondering what, or who, exactly has brought them here. Whatever that may be, time is not on their side.
This book was another stunning issue that pushes our heroes into quite an unsettling situation. With steadily declining situations in the past and present, the pages flew through my fingers and left me with a NEED to find out what happens to the Trinity and that is exactly what a great comic book should do. A true testament to modern comic books and the development of the Rebirth storyline, I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone who enjoys a fantastic read!
