This issue has by far the best explanation of economics I have ever heard!!

Once again an important idea is represented this issue, gender roles in society and how male and females fit together in the hunter-gatherer community. Even though the gatherers provide far more food than the Hunters it is the hunters who are praised and classed higher in the pecking order.

Fred and Barney have to fend for themselves as Wilma and Betty take a well-earned vacation to Wilma’s mums farm. Wilma’s mum Pearl was one of the first to discover agriculture as a way to provide and put down roots instead of being nomads but it is far from the popular choice of living.

Fred as always is a little more enlightened than his caveman counterparts but he still struggles when Wilma is away and although he makes an impassioned plea against Clod’s plans for war the majority vote wins, again holding a dire mirror up to today’s world.

This run so far had been a brilliant read, really funny but thought provoking stuff making you consider today’s society in a way you wouldn’t necessarily have thought to do until you see Fred and his family deal with the same issues.
