VAMPIRE EROTICA MEETS KUBRICK’S EYES WIDE SHUT IN CHAYKIN’S HARDBOILED NOIR BLACK KISS COMPENDIUM PAPERBACK, ON SHELVES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

The trailblazing crime noir/erotica classic Black Kiss by Inkpot and multiple Eagle Award winning creator Howard Chaykin (American Flagg!, Time2) will be collected into one massive black and white compendium paperback. The bingeable Black Kiss Compendium will be comprised of the original 1988 series Black Kiss #1-12, the sequel series Black Kiss II #1-6, as well as the Black Kiss XXXmas in July Special, Black Kiss Hallowe’en, plus new material, and will hit shelves this Winter from Image Comics.

Chaykin’s cult classic Black Kiss is perhaps best described as Anne Rice’s erotic vampires paired with the Hollywood occult underbelly of Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut and wrapped in a Raymond Chandler-inspired hardboiled crime noir.

A Golden Age Hollywood starlit. A sex worker in search of the truth. An occult, Vatican coverup. Black Kiss is an unapologetically not-safe-for-work comic that simmers with femme fatales, vampires, mafiosos, and more, slinking down alleyways toward the smoke-choked lounges that pepper the mean streets of La-La Land.

Black Kiss Compendium paperback (ISBN: 9781534354432) will be available at local comic book shops on Wednesday, November 18 and independent bookstores, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo, and Waterstones on Tuesday, December 15.
