IDW release the sixteenth volume of TMNT Ongoing, which has more than one chapters of this graphic novel.

However, TMNT has made a lot of sequels, including the collaboration with the Batman from DC comics, and other Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics. But this graphic novel will be much more than anything you ever read.

The turtles and the gang were facing a new enemy beyond the sewers, however the phantoms are more likely like the shadow ninjas from Shredder’s foot clan. But the phantoms are much more powerful than the foot clans. Now the foot clan are trained under Master Splinter instead of the Shredder. The Street Phantoms are under control of the city to face the turtles, but somehow one of the scientists were kidnapped by some underworld leader, also the mastermind of the Street Phantoms. The turtles teamed up with his old pals, April O’Neil and Casey Jones, along with the other minor characters fighting for them in this graphic novel. Will they defeat the Street Phantoms and their evil plans to take over New York City? Or will they miss their last piece of pizza for victory?

In my overall reaction for this, of all graphic novels that I’ve read, this is something else from the whole TMNT series. To me it’s a good read to know what’s happening when the foot clan joined with Splinter and the turtles to fight crime. However, a group of ninjas and vigilantes are fighting against the Street Phantoms. But it’s not only the story that it’s amazing, but also the artwork are too legit to be more awesome. There are also an art gallery on the graphic novel, drawn by some several artists who loved TMNT. Dave Wachter and Mateus Santolouco had drawn very well, especially their illustrations had made the reading much more easier. I would probably learn something from them to succeed more in art. But anyway it’s a good read for the TMNT fans and for aspiring artist who wants to learn their style, check it out! It’s great.
