“We saw an immediate burst of voting after we made our debut,” said Marc Nathan, Baltimore Comic-Con promoter. “Since then, we have seen fans promoting their favorites, pros promoting their works, and now publishers have jumped into the fray hyping their titles and creators. It’s been great to see readers and the industry embrace this effort so completely, and we’re really excited to see how the final ballot comes out!”

Michael Lance “Mike” Wieringo was known to fans and friends as “Ringo”, which is how he signed his artwork. His comics artist graced the pages of DC Comics’ The Flash, Adventures of Superman, Batman, and Robin, Marvel Comics’ Fantastic Four, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Sensational Spider-Man, and Rogue, and his co-creation Tellos.
