The ballad of Kite Man part 2 this issue which is part of an interlude of the war of jokes and riddles story arc.
If you haven’t been reading then I urge you to catch up as its a pretty awesome arc. The Joker and the Riddler have waged war on each other and it is brutal with a capital B. Kite Man (Before the moniker) found himself stuck in the middle before some pretty heart-wrenching events made him take on the Kite Man mantle and join up with the Joker but this issue we see that Batman seems to be on the riddlers side. The hapless sidekick keeps getting paired up with various Dc Henchmen and one by one they all get picked off by the Bat until only he and the Joker are left.
Whatever the Riddlers end game is he needs Kite Man to be broken, at his lowest point, so he can get him to talk and use whatever information he gets to beat the Joker once and for all. Batman better know what he’s doing as well or else joining up with a bad guy is a serious faux pas! I really really feel for Kite Man so hope it works out OK for him in the end and he gets some kind of closure or revenge as he has been through the mill in this tale!
