This is where we get to see what happened after Barbatos cast Batman into the Dark Multiverse. Hoo boy.
The story begins simply, with Bruce Wayne’s granddaughter asking him to tell her the story of his first case as Batman. The more the story unfolds, however, the stranger things get, and the more Bruce comes to suspect that something is not right. But can the world’s greatest detective find the clues he needs in time to break free?
Scott Snyder described this as “the dark beating heart: of the Dark Nights: Metal event and he and his co-writers do an excellent job of incorporating Batman’s past, present, and future into a tale of a most personal and sadistic revenge.
