Playmobil’s Ghostbusters toy line just took a turn into the animated adventures.

Ever since Playmobil got the Ghostbusters license, the toys have been incredible. They tackled the first Ghostbusters movie and Ghostbusters 2. So where do you go from there? The obvious answer is the cartoon based on the Ghostbusters: The Real Ghostbusters.

This time around Playmobil is doing mission packs with each of the main characters, a ghost, and a vehicle. Playmobil sent me Venkman with Helicopter and I could not be happier.

This is really a great set. Venkman is a standard Playmobil body, but the deco is based on his animated look. There is a lot of detail in the deco and as always very impressive. Venkman also comes with a PKE meter that fits into either hand.

This set comes with a green translucent skeleton. It’s funny because the way it’s made, it kind of looks like what you’d expect if you cut a Playmobil character open. He comes with a cape and these lightning bolts that fit into both hands. Gives the illusion shooting energy.

The vehicle in this set is a helicopter. Venkman fits in there very nicely. On one side is a peg to hang the proton pack on. On the other side is a peg to hang the ghost trap on.

Now here the great play feature in this set. There are working water cannons on the helicopter. There’s a tube you can keep filling up with water. Plug it in on the bottom of the helicopter and blast the ghost.

There are 3 other Mission Packs you can get as well.  These sets are truly great for any age. Obviously awesome for the kids, and perfect for Ghostbuster fans of all ages.

The Playmobil The Real Ghostbusters Mission Packs hit the stores this April.

Many thanks for Playmobil sending this to us to take a look at!
