A pretty nostalgic read for me, I loved the games growing up but only caught a few episodes of the cartoon so this was pretty cool.

A lot has happened since I last met Sonic has pretty much defeated Eggman and is now clearing up the aftermath. Amy is trying to get him to return to the resistance but he’s having none of it preferring to travel alone and take on the bad guys where he can.

The characters are really cool, Sonic and Amy are the real focus of this issue but Tails gets a mention and Knuckles is coming in the next issue so it looks like the full roster of Sonic’s friends are going to be making an appearance which is great news. The artwork is perfect exactly how sonic should look and the scenery is absolutely spot on too.

Sonics attitude brings this story to life and keeps it interesting as he whizzes between bad guys and it’s pretty spectacular when him and Amy team up for the big finish!  Very cool comic
