If you have read the Robin prelude you may have guessed who returns in this issue.. Yup, The Joker!!
I have to admit this isn’t my favourite look for the Joker but I have a soft spot for the faceoff/stapled back on the look but the character is fantastic the insanity is spot on, the callousness, the sheer uncertainty of what he’s away to do is amazing. There are so many bits to this issue that are my favourite, Like singing the theme tune while he waits for Batman, the whole going to a church to realize he needed to go to a church and his annoyance at the extra work, getting cleaners in and it makes it worse! All brilliant touches it as always is fantastically written and the ending leaves you on the edge of your seat as to what could happen next issue!!
Every single issue in this run so far seems to best the last one and doesn’t show signs of slowing down any as we build towards the wedding and I have no doubt at all that issue is going to be amazing. Will the Joker play a part on the day? Or will he stop it before it even happens? I honestly can not wait!!
