I think this just might be one of my favourite issues so far! And that is saying something
The whole censorship concept is a genius idea and the use of a cleverly placed Comics code sticker was inspired and really made me laugh. This whole issue is very funny and is a fitting final issue of the run. While the Cassie/Laurie reintroduction was satisfyingly awkward it was poor broken-hearted Vlad who cracked me up with his sassiness towards Cassie, he has really developed as a character and is consistently hilarious. There are some digs at the censorship mentality that are spot on with their observations which of course make them even funnier as Cassie realizes why only one kiss drew the slashers attention.
The classic Scooby do reveal and inept cops brought the issue to a close but the final caption of this 12 issue run captured my thoughts exactly! I can’t wait to see where Cassie and Vlad end up next but here’s hoping it isn’t that long before we find out
