For those saddened by the recent cancellation of the Netflix Luke Cage television series, Marvel Entertainment next month will be releasing a brand new – and timely – adventure of Harlem’s “hero for hire” with LUKE CAGE: EVERYMAN.

And in the book Luke is diagnosed with CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy), famous in the U.S. for its affect on professional football players.

LUKE CAGE: EVERYMAN is released November 21st.

LUKE CAGE: EVERYMAN, written by Anthony Del Col (Kill Shakespeare,Son of Hitler) and with art by Jahnoy Lindsay (She-Hulk) and coloring by Ian Herring (Ms. Marvel), finds Luke tracking down a serial killer in the midst of Harlem’s worst-ever heatwave, one killing the community’s richest people. And on top of that, Luke is diagnosed with CTE from the years of internal trauma he’s suffered.

CTE has become a controversial subject in NFL circles with some denying its existence. Del Col conducted a great deal of research in the developing of this story, consulting ta top neurological researcher to make sure the symptoms are accurately depicted.
