Young Justice Outsiders newest episode “First Impression” will leave you with a very lasting impression of absolute genius.

The episode starts off with Beast Boy pleading his case to the senior members of the team. Aquaman and Miss Martain are hesitant in granting Beast Boy’s request to form a more public team. The senior members think that the new recruits are not quite ready yet. After a very powerful monologue from Beast Boy, the senior members agree to his terms and allow him, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Geo-Force, Static, and Blue Beatle to form the public team.

The Reach seems to come back and are terrorizing a small town. Aquaman is first on scene and has his hands full with the three Reach ships attacking. Beast Boy raises the alarm and sends the new squad to action. Using Blue Beatles ability to shut down the Reach’s War Bugs, the new squad saves the day. That is until the Mayor instructs the sheriff to arrest the squad for not following Lex Luthor’s guidelines for the League to get involved. Aquaman states that they are not affiliated with the League and then the Mayor dubs the new squad vigilantes and orders them to be detained.

Beast Boy and the new squad accept the fate as they are only trying to do the right thing. Then a Reach War Ship that was dormant is activated and attacks the town. The Mayor will not accept any help from our heroes and calls in the Air Force. Which of course we all know will fail and did. The new squad break free of their handcuffs and go to fight the War Ship. After the battle, the squad who was being filmed on social media the whole time gives a victory speech and Beast Boy dubs the squad, The Outsiders.

Towards the end, we see a meeting between Batman, Nightwing, Robin, Oracle, Aquaman, and Miss Martian. Aquaman mentions now that Beast Boy is a team leader he should be in the meeting. Miss Martian decides that may not be a good idea at this time. During all this, we see Tigress at home with Tera and Violet. Tera has been very quiet this whole time and those who are fans of the comics will guess why and more than likely have been waiting for this to play out. She is seen texting someone details and her instructions are to stand by and wait. Comic heads know who she is talking to and new fans that are not comic savvy will be in for a surprise when that is revealed.
