Comic Review: Pretty Violent #1 (Image Comics)

Gamma Rae wants to be a superhero buy she just can’t help killing people. Everyone has a bad day though, right?

I absolutely loved this issue, Gamma Rae is such a brilliant character. The way she rushes into action all heroic only for it all to go wrong and the crowd to quickly turn on her was hilarious. I loved the sweetness about her and then the way the comic reaches a point where the sweetness goes out the window and reality hits and it becomes awesome.

Fans of i hate fairyland are going to love this as it as a similar feel but while Gertrude was confined by the pg rating of fairyland Gamma Rae is not and boy does she use it to her FULL advantage! She tells it exactly how it is and although has a cutesy vibe she does not sugar coat the pill no matter how hard she may try to. I can not wait to continue the adventures with Gamma and to see if she eventually can become a bona fide hero
