Sean Murphy and Matt Hollingsworth sell us another chapter in the Batman Curse of the White Knight saga.

It’s one of DC’s finest books, and this will be one of my briefest reviews. Anybody who’s been reading along in these Sean Murphy books doesn’t need me to tell them how good they are!

The story is progressing nicely, as nicely as the creators will allow. There are plenty of nice moments too if you describe ‘nice’ as scheming, vicious, unpredictably bad people doing bad things.

But let’s step nicely away from the carnage and carnivores for a moment to just revel and take in the sights. Sean Murphy’s vision and voice here are superb. Batman is immense and solid. It’s a shadowy tale in a gothic Gotham.

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
