“Whoever comes whoever it is… I’ll kill them. I’ll kill them all!”
A successful franchise with 3 movies under its belt John Wick breaks into the action figure genre with the Diamond Select Toys version.
John comes with a plethora of Weaponry and his puppy from the first movie the last gift his wife ever gave him. weapons include handgun 3 rifles, and a switchblade knife. Also included is the gold coin used to request services in the underground. One the coin is the phrase ” Ens Causa Sui” which translates to something generated within itself. on the bottom is roman numbers for MMI (2001) with a lion on the front. On the backside of the coin is a person with a shield and the phrase “Ex Unitae Vires” which means ” Out of unity comes strength”.
Detail of the character are great. Facial cuts, signature black suit, shiny shoes, even down to the wedding band everything is spot on. Articulation allows for multiple poses even kneeling positions. No extra hands but the hands are moveable and allow for weapon holding the only downside is the ability to hold the knife was difficult. The likeness to John Wick (Keanu Reeves) was well done.
I’ve got no complaints on this figure. It is a must-have for your collection and price point is well within anyone’s budget. No issues with rough play or posing. Could have used a knife-hand but with all the other weapons it was something easily looked past. Diamond Select Toys continues to deliver great figures and shows no signs of slowing down. Grab him while you can he Wick won’t be around forever.
