Aaw man Syd just cannot catch a break, well he might get a few in the next issue.

From start to finish in this issue, Syd is up to his neck in it and he’s only sinking deeper. Just when he thinks he’s off the hook it blows up in his face, but in spite of the horrible situation, Syd faces this issue is hilarious right down to his cop pseudonym Richard Stiff, genius.

I loved all the Alan Rickman stuff as well just so random but I found it really funny. I think I like Syd so much because he has an air of Frank Spencer or Mr. Bean in his ability to be in a run of the mill situation that by the end of the scene he is in a ridiculous position that he just cannot get out of without committing to the crazy. I love it.

The artwork contrasts the humor before it becomes cartoony by keeping it really gritty, this isn’t a slick hotshot detective story, Syd is a bottom-rung borderline pathetic character and the artwork keeps him ground down which makes him all the more loveable you really want him to win, at least once anyway.

I cant wait to see how he fairs in the next issue!
