Dark Horse Comics releases a Garfield like comic that took place in Japan and some other mischief adventures of a fat cat which is What’s Michael? Fat Cat Collection, the graphic novel.

Ok, my sense of thought brought me into this, then WHAT’S MICAHEL?! WHAT. IS. MICHAEL? It’s such a cliché book title that actually confuses the readers about this. But, this book is actually taking you to an adventure about a cat in his daily life, just like Garfield. The series is created by Makoto Kobayashi, the same manga artist who won the Shonen magazine New manga artist award for making Grapple Three Brothers and had an inspiration for cats. But, oh boy, I haven’t even started reviewing the story yet, so let’s pick up this children’s book because it’s gonna shock you sooner or later.

The front cover starts with Michael and the whole cat herd is posing sideways like Hirohiko Araki’s Jojo poses, I mean, does the cat actually breathing his Hamon energy from the sun to kill Cat Dio? And for that reason, they were posing on the top of the roof like they’re going to dance in Broadway or do a Fortnite dance. You know, I got to be honest, I get used to watching some people dancing everywhere like Michael Jackson. Oh man, I can’t reference Michael, BECAUSE I’M REVIEWING EFFING MICHAEL! Anyway, this comic is actually takes you to a fantasy and reality situation where the cat is doing on everyday life when they are around the house, outside, during in Shibuya, etc. Makoto Kobayashi realized what story that he wants to create, then he created just a cat for an occasion after his research. Japan has a particular love affair with cats, and that affair made itself a manga in comparison to Garfield. The setting of the story shows that Michael has some various adventures, even so, the story about cats is very adorable from the beginning but hilarious in a way. There’s not much to say here.

There are a lot of stories about Michael in a weird way because of Japan. Michael has some hilarious adventures, even when interacting with humans. The character designs are most likely what it came out after learning the How to Draw Manga book, however, Makoto drew this cat because he’s a cat lover. It’s hilarious for children and actually more intriguing for adults to know that this cat can wreck their lives. And as a matter of fact, HE HAD A CAT TOO. Makoto’s cat became a model for the manga. Even so, Makoto’s cat wasn’t comfortable living with him because of his bad experiences between humans, and then he ran away from home and never see him again. Humans are horrible, but nothing as that complicated than having him writing a comic about Michael. Anyway, if you rather want to read a comic that has a similar story to Garfield, then this is for you.
