In honor of 40th Anniversary of the USA Olympic Hockey Team’s “Miracle On Ice” Shi creator and diehard hockey fan Billy Tucci has posted a very special offer that can be yours… the original artwork some of his most recent covers!

“I get offers for my original artwork all the time, but to be honest, I’m always hesitant to sell as all my work is very personal to me.” Tucci stated. “That’s why I don’t actively display it at cons or through auction houses, but if we offer them through Indiegogo it can be work twofold. I’ll know whomever purchases the art is not doing it to specifically for resell and it increases the campaign’s total numbers – in a matter of minutes it has helped us unlock our $75,000.00 Stretch Goal reward. Basically, everyone benefits!

The covers being loaded up onto the campaign are the above mentioned Sunfire/Shiroi (SOLD), and the original artwork to two of his most recent covers, Dejah Thoris #1 and Archie & Katy Keene #1.

Tucci is joined on Shi: Return of the Warrior by co-writer Steven Peros (Stoker & Wells: Order of the Golden Dawn, The Cat’s Meow) co-artist Ricardo Silva (Age of Darkness, Hellina), colorist Brian Miller (Hi-Fi Colour Design), designer/letterer Mindy Lopkin (Zombie-Sama!), and editor J.C. Vaughn (Zombie-Sama, Stoker & Wells: Order of The Golden Dawn).

Superstar artist Amanda Conner (Harley Quinn, Tomoe) provides a cover for the issue, as do stars-in-waiting Conny Valentina and Mike Renzine, and Tucci himself, respectively. They are joined by a true comics legend, George Pérez (JLA/Avengers), who came out of retirement to provide one last cover, an unforgettable, beautiful image of Shi.

The 56-page, full color Shi: Return of the Warrior graphic novel is scheduled to ship in the Spring of 2020.

About Billy Tucci

Billy Tucci is an award-winning cartoonist best known for his modern-day samurai fable which began with Shi: The Way of the Warrior in 1994. Since then, though his company, Crusade Fine Arts, Shi has been printed in five languages and sold more than 3 million comic books. In addition to his own creations, he was worked extensively for DC Comics such characters as Harley Quinn, Batman, Superman and Flash. His graphic novel, Sgt. Rock: The Lost Battalion, won acclaim for its depiction of the highly decorated, real-life 442nd Regimental Combat Team, which was comprised of Japanese-American troops not permitted to serve in the Pacific theater. His earnest retelling of the Christmas story in A Child Is Born has quietly turned into an international blockbuster. It won the Christian Small Publisher Book of the Year Award.. He recently released Zombie-Sama via Kickstarter and Indiegogo, and Appalachian Apocalypse via Cave Pictures Publishing. He has a Wonder Woman story due out from DC in 2020.
