Doom gets an amazing makeover with a new Marvel Legends figure

Let’s face it, out of all the villains in the Marvel Universe, Doctor Doom has to be the most popular. Since his first appearance in The Fantastic Four #5, Doom has become bigger than any other villain Marvel has. Though mainly seen as a Fantastic Four adversary, Doom has fought against just about every hero Marvel has. Plus Doom has had several books of his own. Before the buyout, when 20th Century Fox owned the movie rights, Marvel refused to give us any Fantastic Four merchandise and this meant Doom too. Now that the nonsense is over, we are finally getting the toys we deserve. And to celebrate, Hasbro have given us a brand new sculpt of Doctor Doom!

This is an incredible sculpt. The amount of details here are phenomenal. You can see things like the rivets in Doom’s armor and details like the texture in the cloth that covers it. It’s details like that that make Marvel Legends such an excellent product. The paint job is great too. The armor kind of has a weathered look to it. Seriously loving it! The way Doom’s eyes just pop against all of this is a great effect.

There’s lots of articulation here, but due to the sculpt the ab crunch is hindered. This isn’t a bad thing as it makes sense.

Doom comes with a gun in a closable holster. And the gun fits very nicely in his armored hand.

For accessories, Doom comes with 2 heads: One modern and one classic. The classic one does look a lot like Jack Kirby’s art so another kudos to the Hasbro design team. The heads are able to be removed and placed easily. When you do remove the head, if you take off Doom’s cape, you’ll see 2 jets on his back. Doom also comes with 2 sets of hands. One open and one fists. Again, easy to remove and replace, without any loss of wrist articulation. Doom comes with Super-Skrull’s left leg for the Build-A-Figure piece.

Bottom line this is an awesome figure! This is seriously the Doctor Doom you need for your collection. I can’t see anyway Hasbro can top themselves with this figure.
