I haven’t really read much of Outer Darkness but will be catching up after this for sure!
I LOVED Chew, every single batshit crazy part of it so when I saw that Tony was making a special appearance I had to read it and boy am I glad I did. Even hundreds of years into the future if you need to communicate with a race of sociopaths who else are you going to call if not humanity’s top sociopathic detective?
I love how all of the elements of Chew have been incorporated into this story, its a real nostalgia trip right down to the Poyo vs Shellvis poster which made me laugh but as mad as the story is it doesn’t seem out of place or forced. Yes, its time travel and sociopathic aliens but that aside the story flows really well and it just works. I will definitely be checking out Outer Darkness after this as the characters already seem pretty cool, I loved Captain Riggs nonchalance over the Erraykian vengeance fiend while Corby freaked out and cant wait to see how they clash in future issues.
This is going to be brilliant!
