Walter Simonson’s Mighty Thor Artisan Edition is available this month from IDW/Marvel.

Inside this 178 page edition, the pages take us through seven full stories of Thor, written and drawn by Simonson. It includes issues 337, 338, 339, 340, and again at 360, 361, and 362.

The material stands the test of time, almost 40 years later; Simonson’s highly detailed line style, his ability to add heft and weight to the pages with his use of shadows and black tones.

There’s plenty of hammer-swinging drama to hang your hat on in this densely packed series of stories… all scanned with care from the original art pages in full colour, to allow us to see the incredible detail of this work!

IDW/Marvel, Walter Simonson’s Mighty Thor Artisan Edition, $49.99 for 178 pages.

About Alan Spinney

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
