Bree Hale is in a tough spot, pursued by Monk’s men. Maybe surrender? Find out more by checking out Image Comics’ Dead Body Road: Bad Blood issue 4.

Written by Justin Jordan, this issue flows like the wind. It’s a quick but action-packed read. Spend your quarters and a few bits of your time with Bree Hale, whose brother is the target of a hit ordered by a local crime boss. She’s on the run.

Benjamin Tiesma illustrates and Mat Lopes colours this flash fire of a showdown, deeply embedded in the trees. The drawings are solid, the action slamming. The road rage, the Sheriff full of great dialogue, the gas tank full of flammable good fun. It’s coloured dramatically, with great lighting effects bouncing off the heads and the vehicles. Loads of well-engineered suspense and excitement in this brief, hard-hitting quick chapter.

Image, Dead Body Road: Bad Blood #4 of 6, $3.99 for 22 pages of comic content.

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
