In the second issue of DC’s “Future State Kara Zor-El Superwoman”, the moon colony built around Superwoman’s Fortress of Solitude is under siege! 
Shape-shifting aliens have come to this place of peace in search of Lynari, a refugee from their homeworld.
Well, shapeshifting is one way to describe them; or giant blue flying lamprey eels, maybe that works too. Creepy things, large aggressive, and talkative.
Writer Marguerite Bennett is again at the helm, joined by Marguerite Sauvage on art and colour. The drama surrounding Lynari and Kara is intense, the battle scenes and figure drawings detailed and graceful. This is a battle issue, no doubt, and well played by Bennett and Sauvage. Throughout, we derive a sense of depth, respect, and consideration for the characters. The sombre and dynamic shadings simply add a solid backdrop, keeping the action focused and purposeful.
Well done, good reading for these characters.
