The Rocketeer gets the MEGO treatment

Ah MEGO. These were the action figures I grew up with. Just a lot of great memories about them. When I heard the MEGO was making a comeback I got really excited. And with the Rocketeer being one of my favorite characters, I just need I had to buy him.

This Rocketeer is based on the movie version and not the Dave Stevens’ version. The only real difference between the 2 is the look of the rocket pack. I’m cool with that.

The sculpt is pretty amazing. It really does look like the Rocketeer but in MEGO form. Nice little details like the buttons on the jacket and the pantaloons. And the clothing doesn’t restrict the 14 points of articulation you expect from a MEGO.

Now the helmet doesn’t come off, but that’s not a problem for me. I love the look of this figure.

The rocketpack straps to the back with an elastic. It does seem very sturdy, but I wouldn’t force it.

Overall this was a must for my collection. I’m really glad that MEGO made this character into an action figure

Personally, I feel this is a must for any collector.
