Kindt and Reeves dig deeper into the origins of B, the protagonist, displaying how he came to be and the source of his abilities. What they display next is full of carnage in all the best ways that make this book shine. Just when readers thought that B is terrifying as a protagonist, Kindt and Reeves drive it further. But they also take the time to give more exploration into B’s existence and what Caldwell’s intentions are for him and the rest of the world. It’s an action-packed issue that delivers a full-frontal assault of choreographed combat and insanity that only a book like this should.

Ron Garney displays the kind of carnage that matches the title of this series. Just when readers had their fill of action-packed combat and all-out carnage, Garney ramps up the carnage an extra mile with dynamic panels, and dynamic linework. Bill Crabtree makes Garney’s artwork shine even brighter with the subtle tones and hues that give the book the cinematic flair that it delivers. Clem Robbins provides solid letter work that keeps the entire book together as a tightly packed package full of mayhem and intrigue. It’s a solid issue and reinvigorates the book, taking it in an interesting direction that’s worth adding to one’s pull list for new comic book day.
