Company Founder Chris Giliberti Joins Critically Acclaimed Creators Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti and Phil Jimenez as well as ‘Creed’ Screenwriter Aaron Covington and Selena showrunner Moises Zamora At San Diego Comic-Con To Discuss IP Ownership and Content Development

Zestworld, the creator-first digital comics platform, announced Hollywood’s first Intellectual Property (IP) Rights tool for comic creators, available August 2022, exclusively to Zestworld creators on the site. The IP Rights Tool is the next step in the company’s mission to provide creators with everything they need to help monetize their work across publishing, collectibles, and now IP rights. To gain additional insight into the platform’s potential, Zestworld will host its first panel at San Diego Comic-Con titled “The Importance of Comic Creators Owning Their Own IP.”

The panel, scheduled to take place on Friday, July 22 from 4:30-5:30pm in Room 26AB, will feature critically-acclaimed comic book creators Amanda Conner (“Harley Quinn”), Jimmy Palmiotti (“Harley Quinn”), and Phil Jimenez (Wonder Woman) screenwriter Aaron Covington (Creed), showrunner Moises Zamora (Selena on Netflix) and Zestworld Co-Founder and CEO Chris Gililberti.

“An estimated two thirds of produced TV & film is based on IP, and comics are the ultimate source material,” said Co-Founder and CEO Chris Giliberti. “Our IP rights tool will better enable Zestworld creators to monetize their IP, and surface their work with the biggest names in Hollywood, helping them find not only the best creative partner to adapt with, but also the best deal.”

The race for IP ownership has consumed Hollywood, as companies have more reasons to build up their content libraries. Comic book heroes and villains have become and continue to be some of the most successful properties across film, television, video games, consumer products and more.

Prior to Zestworld, CEO and founder Chris Giliberti founded and grew Gimlet Pictures, an independent TV & Film studio specializing in turning podcasts into films and series, including the Golden Globe-nominated Homecoming on Amazon Prime.
