Writer Curt Pires (Youth, Lost Falls, Memoria) pens his fourth Comixology Originals comic book series New America, an action-packed political thriller. Created by Pires (Youth, Wyrd) and artist Luca Casalanguida (James Bond, Scout’s Honor) with colors by Mark Dale and letters by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou, New America is told in three oversized issues. New America #1 debuts August 23, 2022 from Amazon’s Comixology Originals exclusive digital content line.

New America follows the trials and tribulations both personal and political of the people leading and living in the newly emergent territory as they strive for a utopia, while questioning if the new way is the better way as protests and violence continue.
Pires’ previous Comixology Originals works include YOUTH Volumes 1 and 2, now available in paperback from Dark Horse Books, Lost Falls and Memoria. YOUTH is currently in development at Amazon Studios as an original series with executive producer Patrick Moran.
Lost Falls, collecting issues #1-4 of the socially minded mystery thriller by Pires with art by Antonio Fuso and Pierluigi Minotti, colors by Lee Loughridge and letters by Micah Myers, will arrive in paperback from Dark Horse Books, April 18, 2023 [978-1-506730950], marking the first time that the book will be available in print for customers in comic shops, bookstores, and libraries.
About the Creators
Curt Pires is a bestselling writer, producer, and creative that splits his time between Calgary, Canada and Hollywood. He is the creator of hit series YOUTH and WYRD, both of which are in development as Scripted Television Series (at Amazon and FX, respectively), as well as a slew of other original series and graphic novels that have garnered critical acclaim. The founder of TECC CONTENT, a vertically integrated publishing and production house, Curt was named to the 2022 class of Forbes illustrious 30 under 30.
Luca Casalanguida is an Italian comic artist based in S.Vito. He graduated from Accademia Del Fumetto di Pescara and made his professional debut in 2003 in the pages of Skorpio published by Eura Editoriale. Since 2011 he’s worked with publishing house Sergio Bonelli Editore on titles such as Nathan Never, Lukas, Orphans, Adam Wild, and Dylan Dog!
