Behold! The adventures of Baby Groot!
Taking place in between Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, I Am Groot is a series of 3 minutes shorts that tells the adventures of Groot and some of the trouble he gets himself in.
Kirsten Lepore is the director of these shorts and they are hilarious. Lepore does a great job of telling a story in a very short amount of time. The humor in the shorts reminds me of old fashion cartoon shorts. The shorts are computer animated and look very realistic. It is seriously impressive how much technology has come in leaps and bounds.
Vin Diesel reprises his role as the voice of Baby Groot, and does an incredible job with the inflection of the only phrase used “I Am Groot”. One phrase means a hundred million different things.
These are just great little shorts and just entertaining as heck to watch.
I Am Groot premiers exclusively on Disney Plus, on August 1oth.
