Mego gives us an incredible Deathstroke action figure.

Created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Perez, and first appearing in The New Teen Titans #2, Deathstroke has become a popular villain. He has appeared in several different incarnations in both animation and live action. Even though he is portrayed as a villain in mass media, in the comics his more of an anti-hero. A mercenary who follows his own code. Mego has dipped further into the DC Universe and given us a great action figure.

The figure is an average Mego body with the standard 26 points of articulation. The head sculpt looks just like comics. Love that. And the hands are orange to blend into the costume. It’s the costume that really does it. It is a one-piece that has been designed to look like his uniform right down to the scales on his arms and legs. This is topped off with a bandoleer across his chest and two leg holsters: One for a gun and one for a knife.

For accessories, he comes with a sword, machine gun, pistol, and knife. The weapons easily fit in both hands, The pistol and knife are snug inside the holsters. And the machine gun comes with a strap so you can put it around his chest. The only complaint I have is the bandoleer. The details on it are really nice as there are some grenades on it. The back of the bandoleer has a block on the back that I thought the sword could fit in, but there is no slot. I’m not sure if this design flaw or just a production goof-up, but I wish it worked.

Overall I love this figure. It’s just a nice addition to my growing Mego collection. I’m so glad Mego made a Deathstroke figure!
