Users Can Choose From Over 350 Iconic Characters Across Warner Bros., HBO, Max Originals, TLC, HGTV, Food Network And More to Personalize Their Experience and Embrace Their Fandom

On May 23, HBO Max will become Max, Warner Bros. Discovery’s enhanced streaming platform, delivering unparalleled content for everyone in the household, including the best of unscripted to the highest quality in scripted programming, family-friendly content, HBO, Max Originals, WB Movies, the DC Universe, food, home, and documentaries. More than double the content to watch means more profile avatars to choose from, and today, the streamer announced an expanded list of profile avatars, allowing users to customize their profiles by choosing from a collection of more than 350 beloved characters from iconic programming.
 
Users can continue to represent their fandom by choosing characters from classics like Game of Thrones, The Big Bang Theory, The Sopranos, Friends, and favorites such as House of the DragonInsecureSuccessionHacksThe West Wing, and more. The collection also boasts approximately 100 new avatars, adding characters like Harry, Hermione, Ron, Dobby, Voldemort, Professor McGonagall, and Hagrid from Harry Potter; Joel, Ellie and a Clicker from The Last of Us; Tanya, Portia and Valentina from The White Lotus; Peacemaker, Emilia Harcourt and Adrian Chase from Peacemaker; among many more. Fans can also choose from Discovery favorites like Chip & Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper, Guy Fieri from Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, Bobby Flay from Beat Bobby Flay, Jonathan & Drew Scott from Property Brothers, Dr. Sandra Lee from Dr. Pimple Popper, Trixie Mattel from Trixie Motel,  Annie Suwan and Kenny Niedermeier from the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, a variety of sharks such as a Tiger, Whale, Hammerhead, Bull and Mako from Shark Week; and more.

Avatars will be organized in a way that makes it easy for users to find their favorite character. Once a user selects an avatar, it will appear across all supported platforms where they are signed in, welcoming them to the Max streaming experience.

Max will also offer parents the option to choose from a wide array of kid-friendly options, including characters from shows like Looney TunesSesame StreetTom & JerryScooby DooPrincess MononokeTheFlintstonesSpirited Away and more for their Kid’s profiles. New options include Robin, Raven and Cyborg from Teen Titans Go!, animals like a Crocodile, Meerkat, Giraffe, Koala, Elephant, Baby Cheetah, Tiger and Otter from Crikey! It’s the Irwins.

On May 23, a large portion of HBO Max subscribers will have their apps automatically updated to Max, while others will be prompted to download the updated Max app. Customers can also pre-register for Max on the Google Play Store or pre-order on the Apple App Store now.
