What: Next week, the new Netflix action series “Bloodhounds,” directed by Jason Kim, will make its debut on Netflix. Before it became a highly-anticipated streaming series, the story started as a hit webcomic on WEBTOON created by Jeong Chan. The series follows two young boxers who team up with a benevolent moneylender to take down a ruthless loan shark who preys on the financially desperate. Fans can access all 10 episodes of the original webcomic in full exclusively on WEBTOON before checking out the new series on Netflix.
“Bloodhounds” is co-produced by Studio N alongside Seed Film and Seven Osix. Studio N, a subsidiary of WEBTOON Entertainment that produces stories from the WEBTOON library for TV and film, previously produced the recent global Netflix sensation “Sweet Home,” which also originated as a webcomic on WEBTOON.
The original “Bloodhounds” webcomic became available to WEBTOON readers in the U.S. in 2022 after making its debut on the Naver WEBTOON platform in Korea in 2019.
