For 7 seasons, the Venture Bros. was one of my favorite shows on Adult Swim. I couldn’t wait until every Sunday when a new episode aired.

At first glance, the Venture Bros. looks deeply inspired by Jonny Quest. Even show creators Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer, acknowledged this in a couple of episodes.

We watch the everyday life of Hank and Dean Venture, their father Doctor Venture, and their bodyguard Brock Samson. Of course, their every day was dealing with trying not to be killed, super-science, and madcap adventures.

I could wait until season 8 would come out. That is until Adult Swim decided to cancel the Venture Bros. Needless I was bummed and ticked off Adult Swim would do this, especially seeing how the rest of their current line-up just plain sucked.

Thankfully Adult Swim redeemed themselves by releasing the Venture Bros. Complete Series on a massive 14-DVD set.

This set is seriously impressive. The picture and audio have been cleaned up and looks and sounds so much better than when it appeared on TV.

Adult Swim complied every episode of the Venture Bros. including the original pilot and the Christmas special.

Special features include deleted scenes, cast and creator commentaries, and a lot more.

The Venture Bros. had a serious cultural impact in its heyday, and it certainly left an impact on me.

I am so happy to have this set.

Many thanks, Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment for letting me check this out. So glad to have this in my collection!

Go Team Venture!
