Larger line to include products from Kidrobot and JEI

At the opening of the International Toy Fair in New York today, NECA announced a full line of action figures and collectibles celebrating the most famous character of the legendary late comedian Paul Reubens. The Pee-wee’s Playhouse line was in development in 2022 under the creative direction of Reubens himself and will see release under the guidance of his estate.

Pee-wee’s Playhouse ran Saturday mornings from 1986-1990 and introduced fans to a surreal, colorful, adventurous world inhabited by Pee-wee Herman. With frequent celebrity appearances and musical performances, the series holds a special place in the hearts of the many who grew up watching Pee-wee, Pterri, Chairry, Globey, Jambi, Randy, Cowboy Curtis, and a wide cast of eclectic characters.

NECA revealed the first pieces of the licensed line in the form of 6” stylized figures for the company’s bestselling Toony form factor, and high-end hand-painted resin Head Knockers (bobbleheads) at booth #5302 in New York, with even more to come from the NECA family of companies. Kidrobot showed off its first Pee-wee and Chairry premium Phunny plushes, and will be producing vinyl mini figures, enamel pins, larger premium plushes and other art pieces. Joseph Enterprises (JEI) will release Chia Pets. More products will be announced
