The world’s strangest heroes return for a final send-off.

Well, Max decided to break up Doom Patrol season 4 into 2 parts. Episodes 1 – 6 ran from December 2022 to January 2023. Now they are about to release the final 6 episodes which will also end the series. It’s been a trippy ride.

The show took a little from original creators Arnold Drake, Bob Haney, and Bruno Premiani, but most of the show’s influence was from Grant Morrison’s surreal run on the book. Somehow this worked on the small screen. Honestly, I’m not a fan of Morrison’s run, but I truly enjoyed the show.

Episode 7 obviously picks up right after episode 6, with Cliff, Vic, Jane, and Larry captured by the Immortus agents the Scissormen in an attempt to collect their longevity. Meanwhile, Rita and Laura/Madame Rouge, try to figure out how to stop Immortus and recuse their friends.

I loved this season, as I’ve loved the entire show. It’s weird and out-there, and not your typical superhero story. It’s definitely something different, and quite honestly it’s something we needed. Not the norm.

I watched the last 6 episodes and the ending was very bittersweet. It was a nice ending, but you are really going to miss this show when it’s gone.

Doom Patrol, Season 4 part 2, returns exclusively on Max, with two new episodes Thursday, October 12, followed by one new episode weekly through November 9
