Loki returns for a second season to find out the truth behind the Time Variance Authority

The show picks up right where it left off, with Mobius not known who Loki is. What is discovered is Loki is trapped between time where he is ripped from the past to present. Still haunted by He Who Remains’ words, Loki must try to unveil the truth behind the creation of the Time Variance Authority. Though Loki knows the truth, jump back and forth in time, doesn’t help him revealing the truth to everyone.

I loved the first season of Loki and so far, just after one episode, it’s off to a great start. The episode was exciting, thrilling, action-packed, with a nice mix of a screwball comedy. It was an incredible start and I really hope the steam with the show can continue as we’ve seen from previous shows that start strong and then fizzle out.

The writing was really whip-smart, entertaining, and a little silly. With the combination of the visuals really added to the entire episode.

Tom Hiddleston once again just nails this character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He has really made Loki his own and it so great to see him at his best here. Just truly enjoyable. Hiddleston is a strong actor, but his Loki is my favorites.

Owen Wilson returns as Mobius M. Mobius and it seems like a role that was written for him. One of Wilson’s strengths as actor is playing the “straight man”, and he does a masterful job here. Wilson plays Mobius different in the past and in the present. It’s nice to see.

Added to the cast this season is Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan. He plays Ouroboros, or O.B., who is in charge repairs and advancements in technology for TVA. Quan just makes this show. Over the top and silly, but yet sincere at the same time. Truly a welcome addition to the cast.

As you can tell I really liked what I saw so far of season 2. I have to tell you, knowing Disney, seeing what’s going on with Jonathan Major’s personal life, I’m surprised they didn’t write him out. I’m glad they didn’t.

I can’t wait to see the rest of the season and see where Loki’s adventure’s in time takes him. This is a must see, especially seeing how the last couple of Marvel shows have kind of been bombs.

Marvel Studios’ “Loki” Season 2 launches exclusively on Disney Plus at 6:00 P.M. PT on Thursday, October 5. All subsequent episodes will also be available starting Thursdays at 6:00 P.M. PT.
