The Los Angeles Events will Coincide with the Comic’s Launch on November 13
In celebration of the historic release of G.I. JOE #1, today Skybound Insiders, in collaboration with leading toy and game company Hasbro and Image Comics, announced a November 13 Los Angeles screening of G.I. JOE: The Movie (1987),alongside a signing with G.I. JOE #1 writer Joshua Williamson. G.I. JOE #1, from the chart-topping, critically acclaimed creative team of writer Williamson (Duke, Cobra Commander), artist Tom Reilly (Duke) and colorist Jordie Bellaire (Duke, W0rldtr33), hits comic book shops on the same day.
A private AMC CityWalk screening of the seminal 1987 film will be followed by an exclusive Q&A with Williamson, discussing his new series launch. Tickets will be allocated to both existing and new Insider members, who sign up between September 10 and October 20, 2024. All screening attendees will be provided with Insiders-exclusive surprises, as well as the opportunity to win additional prizes provided by Skybound and Hasbro. Prior to the screening, there will also be a signing event at CityWalk comic shop Things from Another World featuring Joshua Williamson. This event will be open to the public and will feature a store-exclusive G.I. JOE #1 variant cover release available for purchase.

This event comes on the heels of Skybound Insiders’ “Choose Your Side” initiative that is offering readers the opportunity to see themselves on the pages of G.I.
