Michel Fiffe’s critically-acclaimed superhero revenge epic will begin a high octane, action-packed finale story arc with the upcoming Death of COPRA. This four issue miniseries will launch in January 2025 from Image Comics.
“The whole thing is bittersweet, which is perfect in a way,” said Fiffe. “The story of COPRA is one of duality: brutal but tender, bombast as defined by human nuance, crafted with a love of comics history while guided by an eye towards the future.”
This new chapter will kick off with 32 story pages written, drawn, colored, and lettered by Fiffe, who added: “These characters have been through the wringer for a long time. Some have their retribution and others get their comeuppance; all of these moments have been speeding towards this crucial home stretch. Although COPRA has traditionally been a single ongoing narrative, this final arc deserved its own space to unfold.”
The new story not only ties up loose ends that pay off in a big way, but the main event will feature COPRA reckoning with a brand new status quo that’s forced upon them. It’s a time of crushing change and difficult goodbyes, but the team’s not going down without a fight.
Death of COPRA is the ultimate stamp on Fiffe’s comic book love letter. The action auteur has been building his signature series issue after issue, directly connecting with a growing audience in his unique, inimitable fashion.
“I’m fortunate to have such a passionate readership that has been with me throughout the years,” he said. “This is my opportunity to stick the landing in a way that honors their loyalty, while also showing the world what COPRA is all about.”
