Drew D.Lenhart has assembled a curation of Sci-Fi stories produced by a slew of indie artists and writers with a unique voice and vision for all to see.

Whether it’s the battlefields of a barren planet, a dystopian landscape, a galaxy quest, or cautionary tale of galactic proportions, Lenhart presents some of the best Sci-Fi stories on this side of the indie comics galaxy.

This anthology is filled with an assortment of creative teams that each have a unique flair to their work. Much of the work in this book is much akin to 2000AD, Heavy Metal, and Love, Death & Robots, containing a fusion of styles. Whether it’s Pinsoneault and Richard’s Kirby-esque story, Rygor’s Ghost, a cautionary tale of ones greedy conquest for power, Kund and Ray’s Sci-Fi take on Romeo and Juliet in their tale, Where 4 R U?, ‘Ogrady, Bautista, and Jones mecha mangaka tale, Twin Clones Mecha, Judge and Rori’s Kamandi/Mad Max-esque tale, Ro-Bar, Phillips bittersweet tale of past and future in the likes of Conquer, or Lenhart and Molina’s black-humored story, The Suit Made It To Europa, each of these stories are pretty strong, and it’s clear as to why these stories were selected for this particular anthology. While some stories are stronger than others, each story is quite memorable due to the writing and the art working in tandem to present a perfectly packaged Sci-Fi collection of stories that any fan of 2000AD could enjoy.

The art styles contained in this book as drawn by Nathan Pinsoneault, Noah Ray, David Monge Bautista, Brian Judge, Lee Jacob Phillips, Hernan Molina, and a few others are all standouts, carrying their respective stories. Each artist effectively executes the tone of their stories, which adds a different layer to the anthology when coupled together as a solid display of talent. There’s not much that needs to be said other than to recommend this sci-fi anthology to anyone that is a general lover of sci-fi, and publications that were previously mentioned. Add this to your pull list for new comic book day.
