Next Wednesday October 29, acclaimed Syracuse-based comic book publisher AHOY Comics will publish TOXIE TEAM-UP #5. TOXIE TEAM-UP is the latest comic book adventure for the legendary hero the Toxic Avenger from the Troma Films cult classic films, following Matt Bors and Fred Harper’s acclaimed revival of the character in 2024. The ambitious mini-series finds Toxie rubbing elbows with characters from a number of other fan-favorite AHOY titles. Previous issues found Toxie teaming up with Jesus Christ (from the pages of Russell and Pace’s controversial SECOND COMING), the Jersey Devil (from the creature-packed anthology PROJECT: CRYPTID), Acid Chimp (from Russell, Bryce Ingman and Peter Krause’s absurdly hilarious MY BAD), and Dragonflyman and Stinger (from Tom Peyer and Jamal Igle’s multiversal saga THE WRONG EARTH). Now issue #5 finds Toxie crossing mops with Swamp Cop and Schitt, the crooked mutant copsfrom Bors’ and acclaimed animator, filmmaker, and illustrator Ben Clarkson’s sensational series JUSTICE WARRIORS.
