With over twenty-five years of experience as a cartoonist and illustrator, Margreet de Heer has produced comics in almost every genre. She is based in Amsterdam and was the first Comic Artist Laureate of The Netherlands, from 2017 to 2020.
Margreet’s educational series ‘Discoveries in Comics’ came out at NBM over a decade ago with such titles as ‘Philosophy’, ‘Science’ and ‘Religion’. The first of those, Philosophy, which has been praised for being a charming and accessible introduction to Western philosophy, is now being re-released through Zoop!
What is thinking? What is reality? Philosophers all through the ages have thought about these questions and you can think along with them through this fun, accessible graphic novel which lays out the fundamentals of Western philosophy for anyone who likes to think about thinking.
